Welcome to Cambodia...

Featured Hotels

Accommodations range from European-style hotels to hovels. In Siem Reap, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh, however, there are some fabulous hotels, and more are on the way. We recommend booking the better properties, although many acceptable midrange hotels have opened in the past few years. Be sure to look for a pool, which most accommodations will have. It will be a welcome respite, especially during the notoriously hot March-May months.

Blending seamlessly into its mystical environment, Amansara lies in the former guesthouse of King Sihanouk — it was originally a getaway for dignitaries visiting the region's ancient ruins and temples. Today's guests visit those same spectacular sites, including spiritual Angkor Wat, through off-the-beaten-path excursions by custom-made remork (moped-powered trishaw). Here, 24 Indo-Chinese-style suites offer private courtyards, and half boast private swimming pools. The Spa is a haven of tranquillity, with its therapeutic Cambodian rituals offered in four dark-wood treatment rooms.
